Who we are
At the heart of our practice is a commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families across the lifespan—from infancy through adulthood. We specialize in working with children, parents, and families navigating ADHD, Autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), anxiety, and other neurodivergent experiences.
Founded by a child and perinatal psychotherapist, our practice blends evidence-based approaches with the healing power of play, creativity, and connection. We honor each person's unique neurotype and developmental path, using expressive, somatic, and attachment-based interventions to foster emotional regulation, resilience, and authentic self-expression.
We are passionate about helping families build strong, attuned relationships and break intergenerational cycles of stress and shame. Whether supporting a toddler and parent in early bonding, guiding a neurodivergent child through emotional challenges, or empowering a mother navigating postpartum, we offer a safe, affirming space for growth and healing.
Our services include individual therapy, parent-infant work, neurodivergent support groups, early intervention in preschools, and virtual or in-person sessions. We are LGBTQIA+ inclusive, trauma-sensitive, and deeply grounded in neurodiversity-affirming care.
We believe every family deserves to thrive—connected, confident, and aligned with their authentic selves.
Meet the Owner
Samantha Norris is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Perinatal Mental Health Therapist (PMH-C), and Play Therapist in training who specializes in supporting neurodivergent children, parents, and individuals across the lifespan. With a strong foundation in child development, attachment, and interpersonal neurobiology, Samantha brings a relational, trauma-informed approach to her work, rooted in deep respect for the unique experiences of each individual.
Her clinical work is grounded in play and expressive therapies—including digital play, sand tray, and art-based modalities—as well as somatic and brain-based approaches like Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Samantha is especially passionate about working with families navigating ADHD, Autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), anxiety, and perinatal transitions. She strives to create inclusive, affirming, and attuned spaces where children and parents can grow, heal, and connect in alignment with their authentic selves.
Samantha is an active member of the Maryland/DC Association for Play Therapy (APT) and proudly serves as the Training Committee Lead, helping bring creative, play-based learning to fellow clinicians. She is also a member of the Maryland/DC Infant Mental Health Association and Postpartum Support International, where she continues to grow her knowledge and advocacy for early relational health and perinatal well-being. When she's not in the playroom, you can find her adventuring through Minecraft worlds, soaking up sunshine, enjoying music, or practicing mindfulness while getting through life with her busy crew of four kiddo’s. Art, joy, ideas and imagination are her everyday medicine.
